Sodium Laureth Sulfate
This Sulfate is is similar to the Sodium Lauryl Sulfate except that the Laurly Sulfate has worse side effects than the Laureth Sulfate. Both are foaming agents and skin irritants. The Laureth Sulfate can be contaminated with a hormone disrupter that has been linked to breast cancer.
DMDM hydantoin is an antimicrobial formaldehyde releaser preservative that is another ingredient in shampoos, conditioners, body washes, and hair and skin products that can be harmful. DMDM can cause lung, skin, and eye irritations, and too much exposure can lead to formaldehyde allergy. This chemical is actually restricted from use in skin products in Japan.
Even certain types of fragrances can be harmful to your body.
